bibic is a national charity with 36 years’ experience of working with children, young people and their families.

Our mission is to help children with conditions affecting their sensory, social, communication, motor and learning abilities to achieve their potential for a happy and fulfilled life. Conditions include brain injury, autistic spectrum disorder, developmental delay, epilepsy, ADHD, Asperger syndrome, Down’s syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and all kinds of learning difficulty.

Dame Hannah Rogers Trust

The Dame Hannah Rogers Trust has been transforming the lives of inspirational young people for over two hundred years. Today the Trust delivers education and care, through a residential school for children aged 5 -19 and a Specialist 19+ Unit for older youngsters, all of whom have profound physical disabilities. Alongside the school, the Trust provides respite care, in a dedicated Respite Centre, for young people both from families living locally and nationally. Deafness Research UK

Deafness Research UK is the nation’s medical charity for deafness and other related conditions such as hearing loss, tinnitus and balance disorders.

Worldwide, there are more than 560 million people with deafness and other hearing problems - over nine million of them in the UK alone. Headway

Severe brain injury currently affects over 530,000 people in the UK, leaving many with permanent physical disabilities, memory problems or personality changes. 135,000 of them will need 24 hour care for the rest of their lives due to their disabilities. This presents a huge challenge to their families.

Headway supports thousands of those families by providing understanding, encouragement and support. Headway has a network of 114 groups throughout the UK offering opportunities and on-going social rehabilitation to people who have sustained a brain injury and respite for their carers. Motability is a national UK charity, which helps disabled people and their families to become mobile, by enabling them to use their Government funded disability allowances, to lease or buy a car, powered wheelchair, or scooter. Motability also operates a grants program to help people who need special and often expensive adaptations to their vehicles. For this we need to raise over £2 million this year.

Scope

Scope is a leading disability charity whose focus is people with cerebral palsy. One in 400 babies are born with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is a physical condition that affects movement, and is the result of failure of a part of the brain to develop, either before birth or in early childhood.

In response to the needs of disabled children and adults, Scope provides a range of local and national services such as nurseries and schools, employment and training, and independent living schemes. Scope's aim is that disabled people achieve equality: that is a society in which they are valued, and have the same human and civil rights as everyone else.

Sense

Sense is the largest charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. We provide specialist information, advice and services to deafblind people, their families, carers and the professionals who work with them. In addition, we support people who have sensory impairments alongside other disabilities.

Sense has worked with deafblind people and their families for 50 years. Our services include support for families, help for deafblind people living in their own homes, day services where deafblind people can build confidence and learn new skills and Sense run houses in the community – where people are supported to live as independently as possible.

WheelPower

WheelPower exists to provide, promote and develop opportunities for men, women and children with disabilities to participate in recreational and competitive wheelchair sport. From a health and welfare aspect participation in sport is extremely beneficial, promoting fitness, independence and motivation, and helping prevent sickness.
